  2. Take 800 grams chicken
  3. Prepare 1/2 cup curd
  4. Take 1 teaspoon cumin seed

  9. Make ready Red chilli powdered
  10. Take Garam masala
  11. Get 1 teaspoon powdered

Make sure all the chicken is coated and is beginning to brown on the sides. I had never made curry before but decided to give it a shot. I would call this recipe a medium-hot dish. I put in quite a bit of curry, but there is a lot of rice and chicken for it to cover.

Instructions to make Quick and simple chicken curry:
  1. Grind the onions in a grinder.
  2. Chop the tomatoes into small cubes
  3. Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds and grinded onions. Saute until brown in color.
  4. Add tomatoes, tumeric powder and salt and saute for 5 min.
  5. Add garam masala, meat masala, coriander powder, and red chilli powder and saute for another 5 min.
  6. Add curd and chicken pieces. Cook for 10 min.
  7. Add 2 cups water and close the lid of pressure cooker. Let it whistle twice. Sim 5 min and then open.
  8. Check the chicken is cooked. If not then cook in the cooker for 5 more min.
  9. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves

If you use chicken stock for this recipe do not use the chicken base. A long time ago I never made chicken curry at home because for some weird reason, I assumed they only make chicken curry in Indian restaurants… Chicken curry is one of my favourite meals.
